Today Chris and Ceci came down to our apartment to have a Tastefully Simple party which Ceci runs. The food the company does is very good and easy to make (my kind of food). If you would like to check them out go to The party went really well and after everybody left except for Chris, Ceci and Jared, we broke out the Rock Band. I had really wanted Chris to play this game becuase he IRL is a very talented drummer and I thought it would be fun for him to try out and see how he would do. I must say Rock Band is a fabulous party game. You can play for hours on end and have up to 4 people playing at once. Plus once you finish the original game you can download content from xBox live and get new songs to play. We ended up downloading The Who's album that day because Chris and I are both fans of their music. I had been wanting to download that for a very long time. So we rocked out to Behind Blue Eyes and Baba O'Riley to our heart's content. Afterwards we went to the Horseshoe Pud for some yummy dinner and everyone went their own way. It was a really fun day. I'm hoping we can get together again really soon!

Ice Cream FTW... even if it's from Friendly's

I swear, it's like we had been hit by anti-ice cream finding missles! We went to no less than 3 different places to get some and all were closed for the season or didn't have counter service.... GRUMBLE! So, we ended up at Friendly's which really should be called Surly's. Although, the server we had was nice enough. Anyway, these are the sundae's we ended up with. I think Sam's intimidated him a bit. considering it is this size of his head, I can't say I blame him. I had a fudge brownie sundae and Brian got his college staple of sherbert with gummy bears. He's weird I tell you... very weird.... I mean really? Gummy bears? My husband has the oddest taste sometimes. I mean, chocolate I get, coffee I get... he likes neither... sometimes I am amazed we are able to each the same food at all!

Best sail eva!

This weekend Sam came to the Cape with us. Since we planned the trip we had hoped to be able to take a nice sail provided the weather was favorable. Now we don't get to take out the boat as much as we would like, hell we don't even get to the Cape as often as we would like... so when the weather looked great on Saturday we decided to go while we had the chance. Brian rowed himself and Sam out to the boat in the dinghy while I amused myself on the dock waiting for them to pick me up. I took a few photos and talked to a couple guys that were cleaning their boat nearby... no big deal. The I started thinking, "Where the hell are they?" I swear it had been an hour that I was chilling out on the dock. Now, it does take awhile to get the boat ready, you have to get the sails ready and unhook from the mooring and start the engine up, but nothing that should have taken that long. At this point I had lost sign of the boys because the boat is moored behind a couple others, so I was trying to see if I could figure out where they were. I finally saw a mast moving and relized it was them. It was odd though, why was the mainsail up? Are they sailing in to the dock to pick me up? What are they nuts? There's a bazillion boats to weave through before they get here..... ooooooohhh.... they couldn't get the outboard started :-O So, after figuring this out I watch them slowly creep towards the dock to me. Poor Brian, he was not pleased. Well, despite this inauspicious beginning we had an amazing sail! Probably the best one I have ever been on in fact. There was great wind and waves so we kept getting sprayed by the surf. We hauled at a pretty good clip once we got out of the channel causing the boat to heel just enough to make the ride fun. We were out on the boat sailing for about 3 hours, and returned from our tour unscathed and exhilarated.
